NORAN-20
Noran-20 capsule (Omeprazole 20mg) is used to treat Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GORD). This is where the acid from the stomach escapes into the gullet (the tube which connects the throat to the stomach) causing pain, inflammation, and heartburn.
The medicine works by interfering with the final step of acid release in the stomach. Hence, acidity in the stomach is decreased and the ulcer healing process is fastening.

The package contains 10 capsules.
Each capsule is 20mg.

Omeprazole ( Enteric coated pellets) eq. To
Omeprazole (USP) 20 mg
Dosage:
Take Noran-20 exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
If you can’t swallow the capsule as a whole, open it and sprinkle the mixture into a spoonful of applesauce.
Swallow the mixture right away without chewing and don’t save it for later use.
Warnings:
Noran-20 is not recommended in pregnancy and breastfeeding only if the benefits outweigh the risks.
Taking such medicines increases the risk of diarrhea.
You may feel
- Extreme tiredness
- Painful joints
- Rashes and lesions on the skin
It may increase the risks of bone fractures, especially in old patients.
This medicine may decrease the absorption of vitamin B-12 in the body.
Don’t take the medicine if you have a known allergy to Noran-20 or any medicine of the same class.
Side Effects
After using Noran-20, you may have some side effects like:
- Abdominal pain (severe)
- Fever (rare)
- Sore throat (rare)
- Loss of appetite (rare)
- Dizziness
Precautions:
Store in a cool, dry, and dark place between 15-30⁰C.
Keep all the medicines away from the children.
