TEpH 40 capsule  (Omeprazole) is manufactured by Sami Pharmaceuticals (Pvt) Ltd.

It is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux, ulcers).

Description

TEpH 40mg capsule is composed of Omeprazole (40mg) and sodium bicarbonate.

TEpH 40 capsule belongs to the category of “anti-ulcerant” primarily used to treat esophageal reflux disease, stomach and duodenal (small intestine) ulcers and to prevent stomach bleeding in very ill patients.

Esophageal reflux disease or GERD is caused by frequent acid reflux. It is a condition in which stomach contents reflux back into the esophagus. When the esophageal muscle relaxes abnormally or weakens, stomach acid can flow back up into your esophagus.

This constant backwash of acid irritates the lining of your esophagus, often causing it to become inflamed.

Omeprazole works by decreasing the amount of acid our stomach makes.

It belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).

Sodium bicarbonate is an antacid that reduces stomach acid and helps omeprazole to work better.

This medication relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing, and persistent cough.

It helps heal acid damage to the stomach and esophagus, helps prevent ulcers, and may help prevent cancer of the esophagus.

DOSAGE:

Take TEpH 40 capsule 15- 30 minutes before a meal.
Swallow TEpH 40 CAPSULE as a whole with a glass of water.

Do not crush or chew capsules.

When using this capsule, you are advised to avoid alcohol, aspirin (blood thinning medication), and ibuprofen.

You are advised to take TEpH 40 CAPSULE for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition.

During usage of this CAPSULE, if there is abdominal pain, diarrhea, testicular pain, changes in urination, pain in urination, or changes in heart rate and respiratory rate, then immediately consult your doctor.

Instructions

• Store the medicine between 15°C and 30°C.
• Protect it from heat, light and moisture.
• Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
• Unstable to light therefore should be preserved in light resistant packages.
• To be sold on the prescription of a registered medical practitioner only.
