Velosef (Cephradine) capsule is an antibiotic used for the prevention of bacterial infections.
Cephradine is itself an antibiotic medicine that is used in treating bacterial infections in the respiratory tract and urinary tract. Also, it prevents pneumonia, influenza, and other skin infections.
Package contains: The pack contains 12 capsules of 500mg.
Composition:
Each capsule contains 500 mg Cephradine USP.
Dosage & Administration:
To be used as directed by the physician. Normally, for adults, it is recommended to take 1 capsule after every 12 hours or as advised by a doctor. For further details see information leaflet.
Uses: Velosef is used in treating the internal infections caused by bacteria. It inhibits the growth of bacteria in the infected area. The areas can be the nose, ear, throat, lungs, reproductive organs, and urinary tract.
Precautions:
- Store at controlled room temperature (15°-30°C).
- Keep all medicines out of the reach of children.
- For oral use only.
Side effects: This medication can kill even the good bacteria from the body due to which body can lose immunity and become more affected by various ailments.
Further, it can cause weakness, nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting. In some patients, Cephradine can cause hypersensitivity. In such case or in case of any worse side effect, seek a doctor immediately.
