FOSEGIN
FOSEGIN (Fusidic Acid B.P) is 15 gm Cream 2% W/w (B.P Specs) where each gram contains 20mg Fusidic Acid.
Pack contains: The box contains a 15gm tube of cream. It is also available as an ointment.
Composition:
Each gram contains:
20mg Fusidic Acid.
Dosage: As directed by the physician.
Usage:
FOSEGIN is used to treat bacterial infections, such as skin infections including cellulitis and impetigo, and eye infections.
Other infections include conjunctivitis (red, itchy eyes).
Instructions:
Protect from heat, light, and moisture. Medicines should be kept out of the reach of children. For External Use Only
When not to use.
It is not recommended in the following conditions:
Atrophic skin, cutaneous ulcer, acne vulgaris, fragile skin veins, and perianal and genital pruritus.
Side effects:
The most common side effects are dry, sore, itchy, or stinging eyes Skin irritation, redness, and rashes, Itching, a burning sensation.
You may also get blurred vision.
Precautions:
Always wash your hands before using fusidic acid cream or ointment. Unless you’re using the cream or ointment to treat your hands, always wash your hands afterward, too.
Put a thin layer of cream or ointment onto the infected area and gently rub it in. Be careful to avoid your eyes if you use it on your face.
