Scabrid
Scabrid is composed of Permethrin which is one of the classifications of Scabicides. Permethrin is an insecticide mainly used to treat scabies.
Therefore, the main purpose of Scabrid is to treat the skin diseases like scabies, infections, and lice. It is applied externally on the skin at the infected area for specific time and days.
This medication is available in form of cream and lotion. The cream is available in 30 grams with 30mg of Permethrin in it. Lotion for this medication is available in 50ml, 60ml and 120ml.
In order to treat the infected area, apply a thin layer of cream or lotion and leave the area for 8 to 12 hours. The time and duration must be consulted by the doctor or physician. After the prescribed time is completed, remove the medicine through water.
Scabrid can be used on any area of skin except face, eyes, sensitive areas and wounds. In order to treat these areas, refer to the dermatologist before applying this medication.
Patients with skin hypersensitivity are not suggested to use this medicine either in cream or lotion. Also inflamed skin or areas having bruises or any injury should not be treated with this formula.
Patient with any skin allergy is not recommended to use this medication unless prescribed by the doctor.
Side effects of Scabrid may include itching, redness, react to hypersensitivity and allergy. If any of the symptom doesn’t stop showing up, seek the doctor or dermatologist immediately.
