Tears Plus (Polyvinyl alcohol) is a lubricating Eye Drop used for comfortable relief of dry eye. It is useful as an eye drop throughout the day to provide greater comfort such as prolonged wearing of hard contact lenses & other conditions.

Package contains: Each package contains a 10ml eyedrop bottle.

Each ml contains:

Polyvinyl alcohol 14mg

With Povidone 6 mg, Chlorobutanol 0.5% (as preservative), Sodium chloride & Distilled water.

Indications: It is indicated for the temporary relief of burning, irritation & discomfort due to dryness of the eye or due to exposure to wind & sun. Also may be used as a protectant against further irritation.

It also helps in conditions associated with deficiency of much layer of tear film due to one of its ingredients, Provide.

One to two drops into the conjunctival (sac) as needed or as directed by the physician. Concomitant ocular medication should be administered at least 15 minutes apart from the installation of Tears Plus to avoid washout effects.

Contraindications:  it is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to polyvinyl alcohol, povidone, or any of the excipients.

Warning and Precautions: To avoid contamination or possible eye injury, touch the tip of the bottle or vial to any surface and avoid contact with the eye. Replace the cap after using it. Patients wearing soft lenses should be instructed to wait at least 15 minutes after the drops to insert soft contact lenses.

Do not use it if the solution changes color or becomes cloudy. Discontinue use of it & consult a doctor if you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye, or if the condition worsens. Safety & effectiveness have not been demonstrated with it in pediatric & geriatric patients.

Pregnancy & Lactation: No specific study data.

Effects on ability to drive & use machines:  It may cause transient blurring of vision which may impair the ability to drive or operate machines. The patient should wait until their vision has cleared before driving or using machinery.

Instruction: Store below 30°C. Protect from light & moisture. Use only on medical advice. Keep out of reach of children. Once opened use within one month. For ophthalmic use only.
