Fucidin
Fucidin is antibiotic cream for external use only. It is an antibiotic with powerful antibacterial activity against a number of gram-positive organisms & it is an invisible non-staining preparation, which is cosmetically acceptable for the treatment of face &scalp infections.
It is indicated for the treatment of skin infections caused by Staphylococci, Streptococci, Propionibacterium acnes, Corynebacterium minutissimum, and other organisms sensitive to fucidic acid.
Indications: The most important indications being: Impetigo, Carbuncles, Infected wounds, Hidradenitis, Folliculitis, Boils, Paronychia, Sycosis barbae, Erythrasma, Acne vulgaris.
Package contains: Each package contains a 15-gram tube cream 2% & enclosed leaflet. It is also available in 20g, 30g packs.
Composition:
Fucidin cream contains:
The active substance is fucidic acid.
1g of cream contains 20mg of fucidic acid.
The other ingredient is Butylhdroxyanisole, cetyl alcohol, glycerol 85%, potassium sorbate, liquid paraffin, polysorbate 60, purified water, hydrochloric acid, white soft paraffin & all-rac-a-tocopherol.
Dosage/Direction of use: 2-3 times applied to the affected area for 7 days, accept acne & to be used under medical supervision, follow strictly the Doctor’s prescription, the method of use & the instructions of the pharmacist.
Warnings it is Medicament: Fucidin is a medicament product, but not like others products. It affects your health and its consumption contrary to instructions is dangerous for you. If the Doctor prescribes it for you don’t pass the medicament to others, it may harm them, even if their symptoms are the same as yours.
Do not by yourself interrupt the period of treatment prescribed for you, do not repeat the same medicament without consulting your Doctor.
