    LERACE

Lerace (levetiracetam) is used to treat epilepsy.

Lerace is an antiepileptic drug. It comes as tablets, a liquid, or granules.

The medicine inhibits burst firing without affecting normal neuronal excitability. It may selectively prevent hyper synchronization of epileptiform burst firing and propagation of seizure activity.

Lerace should be withdrawn gradually to minimize the potential of increased seizure frequency.
