Orelox
Orelox (Cefpodoxime Proxetil USP) is an antibiotic tablet used as a broad-spectrum antibiotic.
It is used for the treatment of various types of bacterial infections, including urinary tract infections, ear infections, respiratory tract infections, and skin infections.
Package contains: Orelox contains 10’s film coated tablets of 100mg in its pack. Also Available in the form of Syrup.
Composition:
Each film coated tablet contains:
Cefpodoxime Proxetil USP 130.45mg.
(Amount equivalent to Cefpodoxime) 100mg.
Excipients q.s one coated tablet.

Uses:
Orelox Tablet is used for the treatment of a broad range of bacterial infections such as otitis media, pneumonia, sinusitis, tonsillitis, throat infection (pharyngitis), and gonorrhoea.
It will not, however, treat viral infections. It works by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall This stops the growth and reproduction of bacteria and kills them.
Some common and uncommon side-effects when taking this medicine include:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhoea
- Abdominal pain
- Insomnia
- Flatulence
- Skin rash
- Itching
