Stamox BP (Amoxicillin) BP is a 250mg/5ml syrup. It is a 90ml dry powder suspension. It is used to treat bacterial infections. It is produced at a dedicated penicillin plant.

Composition:

Each 5ml (after reconstitution) contains:

Amoxicillin Trihydrate (BP) eq. to

Amoxicillin 250mg

Dosage and administration: To be used as directed by the physician. For details see the information leaflet.

Direction for Reconstitution: Add a little amount of previously boiled and cooled water. Invert the bottle and shake until the powder is dispersed. Then add more water upto the mark on the label. Once dispensed, the suspension must be stored in the refrigerator and used within 7 days. For oral use only.

Indications: It is used for the treatment of bacterial infections. It is used to treat bacterial infections of bones and bacterial abscesses ( pus formation). It is used to treat pneumonia, bronchitis, and gonorrhea. It is also used to treat infections of ear, nose, throat, urinary tract and skin.

Adverse Effects: It can cause severe allergic reactions in some people. It can cause joint pain, feeling of restlessness and numbness. It can also produce gastrointestinal effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and GI bleeding. It can cause drug-associated colitis and black-hairy tongue.

Instructions: To be sold on the prescription of the registered medical practitioner only. Keep all medicines out of the reach of children. Before reconstitution keep tightly closed. Store below 25°C in a dry place. Shake well before taking each dose.
