Vericef
Vericef 125mg/5 ml is an oral suspension & it is composed of cephradine and belongs to the category of Infection. Vericef is also available in the form of a capsule.
It is manufactured by Indus Pharma (Pvt.) Ltd.
Uses: It is used to treat bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections, skin infections, chest and throat infections, ear infections, and sinusitis.
Pack contains: Each packet contains 125mg/5 ml oral suspension(syrup).
Composition:
Each 5 ml suspension contains:
Cephradine USP 125mg when reconstituted according to the direction.
Dosage:
For children: 25mg to 50mg per kg body weight daily in 2 to 4 divided doses or as directed by the physician.
For Adults: As directed by the physician.
Side Effects: Diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, or upset stomach may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
Direction for preparation: To prepare oral suspension first add (17ml) boiled and cooled water by the cup provide and shake. After mixing, again add (17ml) Boiled and cooled water by the cup and shake to make a suspension.
When not to use: It is contraindicated for use in patients with cephalosporin or penicillin hypersensitivity.
Precaution: If you have ever had an allergic reaction to a medicine. You must tell your doctor if you have had a bad reaction to a penicillin or cephalosporin antibiotic.
Pregnancy: Please consult your doctor when taking this medicine if you are pregnant.
