Famila 28F (Levonorgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol USP) tablets are usually used for contraception, such as preventing pregnancy in women. It is a low dose of the most stable combination oral pill for practice of waiting between pregnancies (birth spacing).

Famila 28F is composed of two ingredients levonorgestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol. Levonorgestrel belongs to the hormonal medications, and ethinyl estradiol belongs to the estrogen medications. It is available in the form of oral contraceptives.

Package contains: Each pack of Famila 28F contains 3 cycles of 28 tablets.

Composition:

In each cycle, 21 White tablets and each tablet containing:

Levonorgestrel USP 0.15mg.

Ethinyl Estradiol USP 0.03mg.

7 Brown film coated tablets, each containing:

Ferrous fumarate BP 75mg.

Equivalent to 24.37mg of Ferrous Iron.

Dosage: One white tablet daily, for 21 consecutive days followed by one brown tablet daily for seven consecutive days, according to the prescribed schedule. Read accompanying information.

Side effects:

Some common side effects of this medicine are:

Headache, Ovarian cyst, Abdominal pain, Amenorrhea, Vulvovaginitis, Uterine/vaginal bleeding alterations, Enlarged follicles, Intermenstrual bleeding/spotting, Ectopic pregnancy.
