Leflox
Leflox (Levofloxacin) tablet 250mg is a medication that belongs to a class of drugs known as quinolone antibiotics.
It is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections.
Packaging: Leflox (levofloxacin) tablets 250mg are available in blister pack of 10’s. Leflox (levofloxacin) tablets 500mg are available in blister pack of 10’s. Leflox (levofloxacin) tablets 700mg are available in blister pack of 10’s.

Dosage and Administration:
Leflox tablets take orally every 24 hours.
The dosage depends on the types and severity of the infections and the sensitivity of the presumed, causative pathogen.
Its tablets should be swallowed without crushing and with a sufficient amount of liquid.
Leflox tablets can be administered without regard to food.
Adverse reaction: Levofloxacin is usually well tolerated. However, the following are the adverse effects reported during its therapy.
Moniliasis, insomnia, headache, dizziness, dyspnea, nausea, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, vomiting, rash, edema, and chest pain.
Geriatric use: Caution should be used when prescribing levofloxacin to elderly patients especially those on corticosteroids.
Patients should be informed of these potential side effects and advised to discontinue levofloxacin and contact their healthcare provider if any symptoms of tendinitis or tendon rupture occur.
