Malarest
Malarest (Sulfadoxine + Pyrimethamine) tablets are usually used for the treatment of acute and complicated malaria for patients with chloroquine resistance is doubtful.
Malarest tablets contain Sulfadoxine and Pyrimethamine, in which sulfadoxine is related to the class of drugs generally known as antimalarials. Pyrimethamine is related to the group of drugs commonly known as antiparasitics.
It works by killing parasites and lowering the symptoms of malaria, and it is also effective in prohibiting future malaria.
Pack contains: One pack of this medicine contains 10 tablets of 500/25mg.
Composition: 
Each tablet contains:
Sulfadoxine 500mg
Pyrimethamine 25mg.

Side Effects:
Some common side effects of Malarest tablets are:
- Megaloblastic anemia
- A transient rise in liver enzymes
- Feelings of fullness in the stomach
- Diarrhea
- Pancreatitis
- Abdominal pain
- Nausea
- Glossitis
Some severe side effects may also occur;
- Renal failure
- Toxic nephrosis with anuria and oliguria
- Serum sickness
- Periorbital edema
- Generalized skin eruptions
