Trioptal
Trioptal 600 (Oxcarbazepine) tablet is an anticonvulsant that is used to control seizures. It belongs to a group of medicines called anti-convulsant or anti-epileptics used to treat epilepsy/seizures/fits.
Uses: It is used alone or with other medications to treat seizure disorders (epilepsy).
Package Contains: It contains 50 tablets of 600mg.
Composition:
Each film coated tablet contains:
Oxcarbazepine (Novartis Specs.) 600 mg
Dosage: As directed by a registered medical practitioner.
Precautions:
Do not drive, use machinery, or do anything that needs alertness until you can do it safely.
This drug may pose risks to your pregnancy, therefore please do not take this medicine without consulting your doctor first.
Younger children may be more sensitive to the side effects of this drug, especially infections
Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor. Some conditions (such as seizures) may become worse when this drug is suddenly stopped.
Side effects:
Dizziness, drowsiness, tiredness, nausea/vomiting, stomach/abdominal pain, headache, trouble sleeping, or constipation may occur.
Instructions:
To be sold on the prescription of a registered medical practitioner only.
Do not store above 30°C.
All drugs should be kept out of the reach of children.
Protect from light and moisture.
