Each capsule Contains Esomeprazole 40mg as Esomeprazole Magnesium Trihydrate.
It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes. It relieves symptoms such as heartburn, difficulty swallowing and persistent cough.
Esomeprazole magnesium Trihydrate
Esomeprazole is used to treat symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other conditions involving excessive stomach acid such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
This medication is also used to promote the healing of erosive esophagitis (damage to your esophagus caused by stomach acid). Esomeprazole may also be given to prevent gastric ulcers caused by infection with Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) or by the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Dosage:
Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor, usually once daily, at least 1 hour before a meal.
If you are self-treating, follow all directions on the product package. The dosage and length of treatment are based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
Do not increase your dose or take this drug more often than directed. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
