Zauxit
Zauxit (Fluoxetine Hydrochloride USP) Capsule is usually used for the treatment of mental or mood disorders such as; depression, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorder (bulimia), premenstrual dysphoric disorder (premenstrual syndrome).
It is composed of Fluoxetine which belongs to a class of drugs known as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI)s. it works by restoring and maintaining the balance of natural substances (serotonin) in the brain
Package contains: Each pack of Zauxit contains 20 capsules of 20 mg.

Fluoxetine Hydrochloride USP 20 mg
USP Specs
Dosage: As prescribed by the physician.
Indications: Depression and its associated anxiety & obsessive-compulsive disorder.
Contra-Indications: Known hypersensitivity to the drug. Fluoxetine HCI should not be used in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI).
Precautions: Fluoxetine HCI should be used with caution in reduced doses in patients with impaired hepatic or renal function and in patients with epilepsy or history of such disorders.
Adverse effects:
Few common side effects of this medicine are included:
- Insomnia
- Drowsiness
- Fatigue
- Asthenia
- Tremor
- Sweating
- Gastrointestinal complaints including anorexia,
- Nausea
- Diarrhoea
- Dizziness.
