Canesten 1 (Clotrimazole) is broad-spectrum antimycotic 5g vaginal cream for single-dose treatment with an applicator, it is for external use only. It is an anti-fungal medication used to treat yeast infections of the vagina and vaginal skin.
Indication: Infections of the genital region (vaginitis) and infections vaginal discharge caused by fungi (usually Candida), trichomonads, and superinfections caused by clotrimazole-sensitive bacteria.
For the reliable elimination of infections positively diagnosed as due to Trichomonas vaginitis, an oral trichmonacide must be additionally prescribed by the doctor.

Package contains:
Each package contains a tube of 5g cream and an applicator in plastic.
This cream is also available in form of tablets.
Composition:
Clotrimazole U.S.P 10%w/w
Contains benzyl alcohol.
Dosage:
1-3 times a day for 1-2 weeks or as prescribed by your doctor.
How to use:
Open tube & join it with applicator.
Release cream in an applicator.
Remove the applicator from the tube.
Insert the applicator inside the vagina as deep as possible.
Release cream by pressing the plunger.
The best result is achieved by lying on the back.
Special Warning & precautions for use: May reduce the effectiveness and safety of latex products (condoms and diaphragms). The effect is temporary & occurs only during treatment.
Pregnancy & Lactation: It does not show the harmful effects on the child and mother but you should consult your doctor before using it in starting 3 months of pregnancy.
