Tears Gel
Tears gel polyacrylic acid sterile Eye gel 0.2% 10gm approx is a clear, viscous, aqueous solution that can be administered in the form of drops. After local administration, it spread rapidly over the conjunctiva and cornea. The tear film stability is maintained for a period of up to 6 hours.
Indications:
Substitute of tear fluid in case of dry eye syndrome and for short or pathological tear film, in:
- Sjogren’s syndrome
- Infrequent blinking
- Insufficient lid closure
Package contains: Tears gel is supplied as 10gm ophthalmic liquid gel in a plastic dropper bottle.

Polyacrylic Acid 2mg
(B.P Specs)
Preservative:Cetrimide
Dosage: The frequency of administration depends on the requirement. On average, one drop is administered 3-4 times a day in the affected eye(s). Or as directed by the physician.
Tears gel may be administered more frequently upon the severity of the disease. Hold the bottle vertically. This results in forming a small drop, which readily becomes detached from the bottle tip opening.
Caution: Use within four weeks after first opening the bottle.
Tears gel may temporarily influence visual activity. Thus patients driving vehicles or operating machinery should be alerted to the possibility of impaired reactions.
In case of any additional local ocular treatment, there should be an application interval of at least 5 minutes between the two medications.
Note: For Ophthalmic use only.
Instructions:
- Dosage as directed by the physician.
- Store below 30°C.
- Protect from heat and sunlight.
- Keep out of the reach of children.
- Close the bottle immediately after use.
