Biflor
Biflor (Lyophilized Saccharomyes Boulardii) sachets is for oral use. Saccharomyes Boulardii is a new biotherapeutic agent.
It is a French research product, which acts in the intestine in a living state, Restores normal bowel flora that inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria; stimulates local immunity; promotes water reabsorption in colon.
Antitoxin activity: It acts on the origin of the secretion of enterotoxins and/or reduces the enterotoxin effects of toxins by inhibiting toxin receptor binding sites.
Enzymatic activity: It produces a significant increase of disaccharides including lactase, sucrose, and maltase.
Package contains: Each package contains 10 sachets of 250mg each.
Each sachet contains:
Lyophilized Saccharomyes Boulardii 250mg
The product complies with innovator’s specifications.
Dosage: 1 to 2 sachets given once or twice daily.
Dosage and direction for uses:
Pour the contents (powder) of the sachet into some water, beverage or semi-liquid, mix and swallow. Don’t mix Biflor in very hot or cold liquid.
Indication:
- Treatment of infection and non-specific diarrhea. Saccharomyces boulardii can also be used in conjunction with oral rehydration for the treatment of acute diarrhea.
- Treatment and prevention of digestive compliance of antibiotic therapy, diarrhea, colitis, and candidiasis.
- Restoration of intestinal flora, post-antibiotic and prevention of post-antibiotic vulvovaginal candidiasis.
For continuous eternal feeding: Add Saccharomyces Boulardii to the nutrient solution at the time of preparation. It can be stored at room temperature for several days.
Contradiction: Saccharomyces Boulardii should not be used by patients with immunocompromised situations and GI wall perforation.
Side Effects: some rare epigastric disturbances have been reported, not requiring that treatment be discontinued.
Precautions:
Store below 30°C. Protect from sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
