Lungair (Montelukast Granules BP) sachets are in orange-flavored pediatric powder for oral use.
Montelukast is a medication used in the maintenance treatment of asthma. Other uses include allergic rhinitis and hives of long duration.
Package contains: Each package contains 14 sachets each of 4mg. 
Composition:
Each sachet (Granules) contains:
Montelukast Granules BP equivalent to Montelukast 4mg. (BP Specs)
Dosage: As directed by the doctor.
Paediatric patient 2 to 5 years of age with asthma and/or allergic rhinitis: The dosage for paediatric patients 2 to 5 years of age is one 4mg chewable tablet /one 4mg sachet daily.
Paediatric patient 6 to 23 months of age: The dosage for paediatric patients 6 months of age and older is one 4mg sachet.
Indications: Montelukast is indicated in adult and pediatric patients 2 years of age and older for the prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma, including the prevention of day-night symptoms and the prevention of exercise-induced bronchospasm.
Lungair is indicated for the relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis (seasonal allergic rhinitis in adults and pediatric patients 2 years of age and older, and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and pediatric patients 6 months of age and older).
Side effects: Some common side effects are: Asthenia, dyspepsia, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and nasal congestion.
Pregnancy & Lactation: It should not be used during pregnancy until clearly needed. If you are a lactation mother use it only on your Doctor’s or pharmacist’s advice.
