Cefporite CEFPODOXIME PROXETIL (USP) SUSPENTION IS Antibiotic Powder for pediatric oral suspension. 400mg/5ml CEFPODOXIME (on reconstitution) powder for 50 ml suspension (on reconstitution).
Package contains: Each package contains a 50 ml suspension (on reconstitution). It is also available as Cefporite 100mg capsules.
Composition:
Each 5ml suspension (on reconstitution) contains:
Cefpodoxime proxetil (USP) equivalent to
Cefpodoxime 40mg.
Product complies with USP Specs.

As directed by the Physicians. Oral route.

Keep out of the reach of children. The constituted suspension should be kept in the refrigerator for not more than 10 days.
Store in a cool dry place. Protect from light.
Direction for preparation:
Add 40 ml (4 cups) of previously boiled and cooled water to the contents in the bottle. Invert and shake well to make 50ml Suspension, Reconstituted Suspension can be used within 10 days if stored under the refrigerator.
Uses:
Cefporite ingredient CEFPODOXIME PROXETIL is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections such as bronchitis (infection of the airway tubes leading to the lungs); pneumonia; gonorrhea; infections of the skin, ear, sinuses, throat, tonsils, & urinary tract.
It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections.
Side effects:
Some major and minor side effects are: Diarrhea, abdominal pain, blurred vision, decreased appetite, change in taste, joint pain, acid or sour stomach, etc.
