Hydryllin syrup
Hydryllin syrup (Aminophylline Plus compound Syrup) is a helpful and effective medicine for the treatment of shortness of breath, wheezing, and asthma. This medicine also contains an ingredient that helps the patient against allergies.
How it works: Hydryllin Syrup/Suspension is used to treat issues like bronchitis of chronic type and allergies. This medicine contains the active ingredients of Aminophylline, Diphenhydramine HCl, Ammonium Chloride, and Menthol.
Aminophylline belongs to the group of drugs known as xanthines. The second component is Diphenhydramine, which belongs to the group of medicines known as antihistamines and works by blocking a specific chemical in the body.
Package contains: This Hydryllin syrup/suspension is available in 120ml syrup.
Composition:
Each 5ml contains:
Aminophylline Ph. Eur 32mg
Diphenhydramine HCl BP 8mg
Ammonium Chloride Ph. Eur 30mg
Menthol BP 0.98mg
Mfg. Searle Specs
Adults: 5-10ml (1-2 teaspoons) every 4-6 hours as indicated.
Children: 2-6 Years: Upto 2.5ml (1/4 – ½ teaspoon) every 4-6 hours as indicated. 7-12 years: 2-5ml-5ml (1/2 -1 teaspoon) every 4-6 hours as indicated.
If required an additional extra dose may be taken after the first 2 hours. (Further information is available on request from The Searle Company Limited)
Caution: Do not exceed the stated dose. May cause drowsiness if affected. Do not drive or operate machinery.
Every product with an active ingredient has side effects; however, they are rare. Some common side effects of this syrup are:
- Rash
- Irritability
- Drowsiness
- Dizziness
- Nausea
- Vomiting
