Aerokast
Aerokast (Montelukast Sodium) Chewable Tablet is used to treat the symptoms of bronchospasm and constriction of airways due to asthma and exercise.
It relieves wheezing and shortness of breath. This medicine decreases the frequency of inhaler use in asthmatic patients.
Package contains: Aerokast contains 14’s film coated tablets of 10mg in its pack. Also available as: Aerokast 4mg/5mg tablets. Also in the form of Aerokast Sachet.
Composition:
Each film coated tablet contains:
Montelukast Sodium eq. to Montelukast 10mg.

Dosage (Adults 15 years and above):
1 tablet chewed or swallowed once a day or as directed by the physician. For further information please see information leaflet.
Uses:
Aerokast Chewable Tablet is used to control, prevent, and treat the symptoms of asthma, airways constriction, wheezing, and shortness of breath. It also relieves exercise-induced shortening of breath. It contains Montelukast as an active ingredient and belongs to the bronchodilator class of drugs.
It works by inhibiting the release of chemicals responsible for bronchoconstriction.
Some side effects may be caused by this medicine, but they are extremely rare. Side effects can include:
- Hypersensitivity
- Allergic reactions
- Nausea
- Diarrhoea
- Constipation
- Sore throat
- Headache
