Anxiorid
Anxiorid (Alprazolam) is a triazolo analogue of the 1,4-benzodiazepine class of drugs. It is an anxiolytic with hypnotic and anticonvulsive properties.
Uses: It is used to treat anxiety and panic disorders. It belongs to a class of medications called benzodiazepines which act on the brain and nerves (central nervous system) to produce a calming effect. It works by enhancing the effects of a certain natural chemical in the body (GABA).
Package Contains: It contains 3×10 tablets of 0.5mg.
Composition:
Each tablet contains:
Alprazolam USP 0.5mg
Dosage: Take as directed by the physician.
Interaction: Anxiorid produces additive CNS depressant effects when co-administered with other psychotropic medications, anticonvulsants, antihistaminics, ethanol, and other drugs that themselves produce CNS depression.
Precautions: Consult your doctor before breastfeeding. Because Anxiorid may produce psychological and physical dependence, increment of dose or abrupt discontinuation of Anxiorid therapy should not be done without the physician’s advice.

Side effects: Drowsiness, dizziness, increased saliva production, or change in sex drive/ability may occur.
