Cardura (Doxazosin Mesylate) is mainly used for Hypertension and Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.

Each tablet contains:
Doxazosin Mesylate (pfi). Equivalent to Doxazosin 4mg.

Dosage & Administration: As directed by the physician. For further information, please read the enclosed leaf insert. The usual dose is 2mg to 4mg once daily.
Indication:
Hypertension: It is indicated for the treatment of hypertension and can be used as the initial agent to control blood pressure in the majority of patients. The patients were not adequately controlled on a single antihypertensive agent.
It may be used in combination with another agent such as a thiazide diuretic, a beta-blocker, a calcium antagonist, or an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor.
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia: It is indicated for the treatment of clinical symptoms in benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and for reduced urinary flow associated with BPH.
It may be used in BPH patients who are either hypertensive or normotensive. While the blood pressure changes in normotensive patients with BPH are clinically effectively treated with doxazosin monotherapy.
Contraindications: It is contraindications in patients with a known hypersensitive to quinolones, doxazosin, or any of the insert ingredients.
Undesirable effects: the most common reactions associated with it were of a postural type (rarely associated with syncope) ear and labyrinth disorders: vertigo, gastrointestinal disorders: nausea, general disorders, and administration site conditions: asthenia, edema, fatigue, malaise.
Pregnancy & Lactation: There are no adequate and well-controlled studies on pregnant or nursing women, and the safety of Cardura during pregnancy or lactation has not been established.
Instructions: Avoid exposure to heat & sunlight. Store in a dry place at room temperature. Keep out of the reach of children.
