CARSEL 50 (Metoprolol Tartrate B.P. 50mg) Tablet is a beta-adrenergic blocking agent that blocks the agonistic effect of the sympathetic neurotransmitters by competing for binding sites.
It is manufactured by UniMark Pharmaceuticals.
Indications: Indicated in hypertension, angina pectoris, disturbances of cardiac rhythm, myocardial infraction, functional heart disease, congestive heart failure, prevention of migraine, and hyperthyroidism.

Package contains: Each package contains 30 tablets of 50mg and leaflet (instructions). It is also available in 1000mg & 25mg tablets.

The tablet should be swallowed un-chewed by mouth. The dosage should be adjusted according to the individual’s response. This medication may be given with food to enhanced bioavailability.
If you have missed your medicine dose, you have to take this as soon as possible, not taking it at all if within 4 hours of the next dose not doubling doses. Check with the physician before discontinuing or change of the dosage.
Adverse Effects: According to the leaflet: allergic reactions, bradycardia, breathing difficulty, confusion, hallucination, headache, fatigue, dizziness or faint, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, decreased sexual ability, trembling & sweating, etc.
