CK flox (Ciprofloxacin) tablets are used for lower respiratory tract infections due to gram-negative bacteria, urinary tract infections, genital tract infections, chronic suppurative otitis media.

It is also used for cute sinusitis, infection of the skin and soft tissues, infection of bones and joints, infection diarrhea, typhoid fever, urethral and cervical gonococcal infections.

Package contains: Each package contains 1o film coated tablets of 500mg and leaflet (instructions). It is also available in 250mg film coated tablets.

Composition:

Each tablet contains:

Ciprofloxacin HCL Equivalent to Ciprofloxacin U.S.P 500mg.

Product complies with USP specs.

Dosage & Administration: As directed by the physician. The duration of the treatment depends upon the severity of the infection.

Indications:

Uncomplicated and complicated infections caused by CK-Flox susceptible pathogens. Infection of the respiratory tract.

It can be regarded as an advisable treatment for pneumonias caused by Klebsiella spp, Enterobacter spp, Proteus spp, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginous, haemophilius spp, Moraxella catarrhalis, legionella spp, and staphylococci.

Contraindications:

CK flox tablets must not be used in cases of hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or other quinolone.

Pregnancy & Lactation:

As a precautionary measure, it is preferable to avoid the use of these tablets during pregnancy.

CK flox excreted in breast milk due to the potential risk of articular damage, the use of the tablet is not recommended during breastfeeding.

Side Effects:

The severe adverse effects of these tablets which give rise to further complications include pseudomembranous colitis, Hearing loss, and Seizures.

The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by CK-flox are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include:

Dizziness, Headache, Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhoea, tachycardia, etc.

Avoid exposure to heat & sunlight.

Protect from light, heat, and moisture.

Store below 25°C.

Keep all medicine out of reach of children.
