Glucophage XR
Glucophage XR (Metformin Hydrochloride) Tablet is an extended-release antidiabetic medication. It is useful in combination with diet changes and exercise for the treatment of high blood sugar levels in patients with diabetes.
How it works: Glucophage XR Tablet is an effective antihyperglycemic drug. It is useful in lowering blood sugar levels in individuals with type 2 diabetes mellitus, especially for overweight patients.
It is also helpful to reduce the risk of the manifestation of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults. This medicine works by decreasing glucose production by the liver and reducing its intestinal absorption while improving insulin sensitivity.
Package contains: Each pack of Glucophage XR contains 30’s tablets of 750mg.
Composition:
Each tablet contains:
Metformin Hydrochloride Ph. Eur 750mg.
Dosage: The usual starting dose is one tablet once daily or as prescribed by the physician.
