Rubifer-F (Iron (III) Hydroxide Polymaltose Complex & Folic Acid) 2×10’s chewable tablets are manufactured by AGP Limited. This medicine is used to treat anemia.

Each pack contains: Each pack of 2×10’s tablets.

Composition:

Each tablet contains:

Iron (III) Hydroxide Polymaltose complex (AGP specs.) equivalent to elemental Iron 100 mg.

Folic acid (USP specs.) 0.350 mg.

Dosage and instructions: 1-3 chewable tablets daily or as directed by the physician. Do not store above 25°C. Protect from light, moisture, and heat. Keep out of the reach of children. To be sold on the prescription of a registered medical practitioner only.

Usage: This medicine is used to prevent, control and treat anemia during childhood, pregnancy, and lactation. It helps in the treatment of megaloblastic anemias which occurs due to the deficiency of folic acid.

This tablet works by treating iron deficiency anemia by acting on the megaloblastic bone marrow to produce a normoblastic marrow.

Side effects: Anorexia, nausea, bitter or bad taste, allergic reactions, abdominal distention. Altered sleep patterns, overactivity, excitement, mental confusion, & irritability are some common side effects of this medicine.

Some of the side effects are rare but serious. Consult your doctor if these side effects do not go away.
