Stomacol
Stomacol (Domperidone) Tablet is used to increase the movements or contractions of the stomach and bowel. It is also used to treat nausea and vomiting caused by other drugs used to treat Parkinson’s Disease.
Uses: Stomacol Tablet is used to relieve the symptoms of nausea and vomiting. This medicine works by blocking the activity of a chemical in the brain that causes nausea and vomiting.
Package contains: Each pack of Stomacol contains 10×5’s tablets of 10mg.
Composition:
Each tablet contains:
Domperidone Maleate BP eq. to Domperidone 10mg.
Mfg. Specs: BP
Dosage: As directed by the physician or see package insert for full prescribing information.
Precautions: It should be used with caution in the elderly as the risk of adverse effects are very high. If your symptoms do not improve within a few days or if they become worse, check with your doctor.
There appears to be no risk when taking this drug during pregnancy.
Side effects:
The following side-effects may commonly occur when using Stomacol Tablet. Discuss with your doctor if any of these side effects last for a long time or are severe:
- Abnormal Posture
- Agitation
- Confusion
- Convulsion
- Drowsiness
- Drug-Induced Movement Disorders
- Irregular Eye Movements
