Vastarel MR trimetazidine dihydrochloride tablets are manufactured by Servier pharmaceuticals. This medicine is used to treat patients with coronary heart disease known as angina pectoris.

Each pack contains: Each pack of Vastarel MR contains 20 modified-release tablets of 35mg.

Composition:

Each tablet contains:

Trimetazidine dihydrochloride “Ph. Eur.” 35mg.

Excipients:

q.s. for one film-coated tablet.

Dosage: Oral route: The dose is one tablet of this medicine twice daily i.e. once in the morning and once in the evening, during meals. There is no data from the use of this medicine during pregnancy and lactation.

Usage:

This medicine protects the heart cells from reduced oxygen supply during the episode of angina. This medicine is combined with other medicines to treat the chest pain caused by coronary disease.

This disease is commonly known as angina Pectoris. According to WHO patients with stable angina pectoris undergo life changes, pain, or merely the fear of pain.

However, several clinical studies have proven the effectiveness of trimetazidine over angina pectoris. The medicine is prescribed as an add-on therapy for symptomatic treatment of stable angina pectoris patients treatment.

Side effects: Vastarel like other medicines causes some minor side effects. The common side effects of this medicine are rash, vomiting, feeling sick, itching, indigestion, headache, abdominal pain, &feeling of weakness, etc.

Storage conditions:

Protect from direct light, heat, and moisture. Keep out of the reach of children. Only obtainable on physicians prescription.
