Vilget-M (Vildagliptin + Metformin HCl) tablet belongs to a group of drugs known as dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitors, which show the effectiveness by increasing the amount of insulin produced by your body.

Metformin belongs to a group of medicines known as biguanides, which work by restoring your body’s proper response to insulin.

Package Contains: It contains 14 tablets of 50mg + 500mg.

Composition:

Each film coated tablet contains:

Vildagliptin 50mg

Metformin HCI USP 500mg

Dosage: As directed by the physician or see package insert for full prescribing information.

Uses: This combination medicine is used with a proper diet and exercise program and possibly with other medications to control high blood sugar. It is used in patients with type 2 diabetes.

Precautions: Inform your doctor if you are allergic to it. Do not consume alcohol with this medicine. Avoid driving after taking this medicine. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding. Please consult your doctor when taking this medicine if you are pregnant.

Side effects: Diarrhea, Back pain, Headache, Dizziness, Nasopharyngitis, Physical weakness, Low levels of vitamin B-12, Low blood sugar, Symptoms of muscle weakness, Flatulence, and Upper respiratory tract infection.

Instructions: Store at 25°C (Excursions permitted between 15-30°C). Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. To be sold on the prescription of a registered medical practitioner only.
