Daktarin
Daktarin (miconazole) 20g oral gel is a medication for treating fungal infections of the mouth, throat, and gullet.
Pack contains: Each packet contains 20grams of oral gel.
Composition:
Each gram of gel contains Miconazole (Ph. Eur) 20mg.
Dosage: As prescribed by the physician. For further information see the enclosed leaflet. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
Instructions: Store between 15-30°C. Protect from light and moisture. To be sold on the prescription of a registered medical practitioner.
Side effects: It can cause Mild burning or stinging, numbness, or irritation in the mouth.
When not to use: Hypersensitivity to the drug, Milk protein allergy.
Precautions: Patients having a history of hypersensitivity to other azole antifungals should be cautiously monitored; cease promptly if hypersensitivity develops.
The safety and effectiveness of this Gel in paediatric patients under the age of 16 have not been established.
In patients with liver damage, it should be used with caution.
Rashes, yellowing of the eyes and skin, and abdominal pain should all be reported to the doctor.
Unless under medical supervision, uninterrupted treatment should not go longer than seven days.
